Sue studied performing at the Royal College of Music, London and then at the National Centre of Orchestral Studies, London. She then went on to play with the Scottish Ballet Orchestra. She has also attained 2 Diplomas in Jazz, and enjoys playing traditional music. Sue is a member of Aberdeen Sinfonietta and performs regularly in Aberdeen.
Teresa started the violin at the age of 7 having been entranced by Beethoven’s Emperor Piano Concerto! She studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow with Louis Carus and Peter Mountain. Teresa is also a member of Aberdeen Sinfonietta and performs regularly in Aberdeen.
Sandra went to St Marys School in Edinburgh and then studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with John White. She left college and began playing with the Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. After 3 years in Germany she came back to Scotland and played with the BBC Scottish Orchestra. She now plays with the Aberdeen Sinfonietta.
Gareth studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. Gareth is in much demand appearing as principal cellist with all north-east orchestras as well as in recitals. Gareth organises the Deveron Festival, Banff and conducts many orchestras in Aberdeen.
Rachel studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London. After college she played with various orchestras in London before moving to Aberdeenshire. She is a member of Aberdeen Sinfonietta and the Director of the Strings and Wind National Workshop.
Ruth studied violin and viola at the Birmingham Conservatoire with Nona Lidell (Leader of the London Mozart Players) and Andrew Watkinson (Endellion Quartet). She is a member of the Aberdeen Sinfonietta and the Sinfonia of Scotland. She is also a founder leader of the Angus Chamber Orchestra and member of the Ruthven festival Chamber Orchestra.
